How to book food on train online:

We are discussing the meal booking process on train through the IRCTC rail connect app. Here you will be needed your ticket’s PNR number. Hence keep the PNR number handy. Now follow the following steps.

 

STEP 1: Go to IRCTC Rail Connect app and open the app.

 

STEP 2: You will be on the IRCTC Rail Connect App’s dashboard. Click on the link ‘Order Food in Train’ on this page.

 

STEP 3:   You will be redirected to https://www.ecatering.irctc.co.in . In this page you will be asked to enter the PNR number. Enter the PNR number on this box and click on ‘Submit’.

 

STEP 4: The upcoming stations of your trip will be appeared on the screen. You will see the number of restaurants and the minimum order value with each station name. You also see the reaching time on the stations also. Select the station name on which you want to book your food.

 

STEP 5: As you select the station name a list of available restaurants will be appeared with their ratings. Select the restaurant from which you want to buy the food.

 

STEP 6: The list of available foods in the restaurant will be displayed. Select your food and quantity by clicking add + button. Then click on ‘Check Out’.

 

STEP 7: A pop up window will also appeared. Close the window and click on ‘Check Out’ and then ‘schedule’.

 

STEP 8: The details of your selection on the above steps will be displayed on the screen. Click on the ‘Schedule’ button.

 

STEP 9: In this page your name, mobile number and email address have to enter. Enter all the details on this page and click on ‘Proceed’.

 

STEP 10: Now you will be redirected to payment page. Select your payment mode cash on delivery or online payment and complete the transaction.

 

Your food will be ordered successfully. On the selected station you will be received your food on your seat. The delivery boy will also contact you before delivering the meal.
