How to close SBI virtual card:

In this description we are discussing the process through Yono Lite SBI mobile application. You can also block the card using SBI internet banking or Yono SBI mobile app also. To close SBI virtual debit card through Yono Lite SBI you should register in Yono Lite app first. If you have done this then follow the following steps.

 

STEP 1: Go to Yono Lite SBI and login to your account.

 

STEP 2: Now you are on the home page of your account. Here you will find an option ‘Mange Cards’. Click on this option here.

 

STEP 3: You will be redirected to ‘Manage Card’ page. Here you will see three options physical debit cards, virtual debit cards and prepaid cards. Click on ‘Virtual Debit Cards’ here.

 

STEP 4: In this step you will enter in the virtual debit card section. Here you see two options request for virtual debit card and view or manage card. Click on ‘View or Manage Card’ option.

 

STEP 5: In this page you will see another four links. Click on the link ‘Close card’ out of them.

 

STEP 6: On the close card page you have to select your debit account number first. Select your savings bank account number first. Then select virtual card variant and then select the virtual card number.

 

As you select the virtual card number a ‘Close’ tab and a ‘Cancel’ tab will be appeared on the bottom of the page. Click on ‘Close’ tab on this page.

 

STEP 7: A pop up message will be displayed on the screen. It says that once you closed the card you can’t be unblocked card again. Are you sure you want to permanently close the card? Click on ‘Yes’ here.

 

STEP 8: Your selection details will be displayed once again on the screen. It asks for confirmation. Click on the ‘Confirm’ button here.

 

STEP 9: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number with SBI. Enter the OTP on this page and click on ‘submit’.

 

STEP 10: A message will be displayed. It says that your card is successfully blocked. You will also see a reference number. Note down the reference number for future communication.
