How to set auto debit in SBI for PPF account:

We are discussing the process through SBI internet banking here. If you have not registered in SBI internet banking then register first and then follow the following steps.

 

STEP 1: Go to SBI internet banking login page and login to your account using user Id, password and OTP.

 

STEP 2: Now you are logged in to your account. On this page on the upper bar you will see an option ‘Request & Enquiries’. Click on this option here.

 

STEP 3: The ‘Requests & Enquiries’ page will be opened. You will see various options on this page. Click on the second option ‘Standing Instruction for PPF’.

 

STEP 4: In this page you need to select frequency of payments like monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly. Select the frequency as per your need.

 

Enter amount. How much money to be transferred per instalment has to enter. Keep in mind that the maximum amount in a year should not exceed than 150000/-.

 

Enter the number of payments, how much instalment you want to set for auto debit. Then number of instalment should not be less than 2.

 

Select the start date of starting the auto payment from the calendar on the box. After entering all the details click on ‘Submit’.

 

STEP 5: A POP up message will be displayed on the screen it says to keep sufficient amount in debited account at the time of auto debit to avoid penalty. Click on OK here.

 

STEP 6: The details you have selected on the above steps will be displayed on the screen once. Check the details thoroughly and click on ‘confirm’ button.

 

STEP 7: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number with bank. Enter the OTP and click on ‘confirm’.
