How to pay LIC premium through BHIM UPI?

In today’s time most of the android users in India are using UPI and most of them are using BHIM UPI. Many of them also have a LIC policy and they want to pay the LIC policy online using BHIM UPI app. But they don’t know how to pay LIC policy using BHIM UPI app.

How to pay LIC policy through BHIM UPI:

If you are registered with BHIM UPI app then to pay LIC premium online you need to the policy number and the date of birth of the policy holder which you have given at the time of buying the policy. If you have the details then follow the following steps.

 

STEP 1: Go to your mobile and open BHIM app. Then log in to your account.

 

STEP 2: Go to ‘recharge and bills’ and click on ‘View All’.

 

STEP 3: You will find many billers name on this page. Find the option ‘insurance’ and click on it.

 

STEP 4: Many of insurance companies which you can pay through BHIM app will be appeared on the screen. Search ‘Life Insurance Corporation of India’ and click on it.

 

STEP 5: In this page you are asked to enter your policy number, your email address and the date of birth of the policy holder in DD/MM/YYYY format. Enter the details correctly and click on ‘Get Bill details’.

 

STEP 6: You will be redirected to bill pay details page. Here you will find your policy number, name of policy holder, premium due date, premium payable amount and date of birth of the policy holder. Now click on ‘Pay’ button.

 

STEP 7: Now enter the 6 digit UPI PIN to approve the payment and click on ‘submit’.

 

STEP 8: After successful payment the payment details will be displayed on the screen. You will see your transaction Id also. You can note the transaction Id for future communication.

 

You will get message or email within 48 hours. In general it takes 1 hour but as per BHIM it may take 48 hours. If your payment successful message is not received from LIC after 48 hours then you can call LIC customer service.
