Hello friends, in this article we are going to discuss on how to reset NPS password without OTP. We all know that to reset NPS password we need the secret question or mobile OTP or email OTP. But the problem is that if you don’t have the secret question set, you don’t have the mobile number or email address which is linked with NPS account. In this conditions how to recover NPS password without OTP.

 

Therefore we are discussing on this matter. Many of NPS customers wanted to know how to get NPS password without mobile number or email address linked with NPS account.

 

Here you can reset NPS password in two ways one is filling S2 (subscribers details update form) and submitting it to DDO or POPs. And the other is applying online and submits the acknowledgement number generated to DDO or POPs. How to reset NPS password without OTP:

Before going to apply for reset NPS password online without OTP keep in mind that you should have the PRAN (Permanent Retirement Account Number) handy and then follow the following steps.

 

STEP 1: Go to your mobile or PCs browser and search the website https://cra-dsdl.com and open the login page of NPS.

 

STEP 2: Now you are on the login page of your NPS account. Here you will find two login options one for ‘Subscribers’ and the other for ‘Nodal offices’. Go to the ‘Subscribers’ login section. Because of Subscribers are the NPS customers those have a NPS account. From here one can login to his or her NPS account. On the bottom of the ‘Subscribers’ login details you will find an option ‘Reset Password’. Click on this option here.

 

STEP 3:  In this page you will find two options one is ‘Reset password using secret question’ and the other is ‘Instant Set/Reset password’. Select the second option ‘Instant set/reset password’ here.

 

STEP 4: You will be redirected to generate password page. In this page again you will have two options. One is through ‘Nodal Office’ and the other is through ‘Generate OTP’. Generate OTP option is for those customers who have either mobile number or email address linked with NPS account to receive OTP. But we will select ‘Nodal Office’ option here. Because of we don’t have the mobile number and email address. Select the first option ‘Nodal Office’ here.

 

As you select ‘Nodal Office’ on this page, you are asked to enter your PRAN number, date of birth, new password, confirm password and captcha code. Keep in mind when entering password that the password should contain at least eight characters, at least one capital letter, one small letter, one number and one special character.

 

Enter all the details correctly and click on ‘Submit’ button.

 

STEP 5: Once you submit the details entered on the above step, you will be redirected to confirmation page. In this page you will see your PRAN number entered on the above step and your date of birth. If both are correct then click on ‘Confirm’ button.

 

STEP 6: In this step you will see your acknowledgement number will be generated. It will display on the screen along with date of birth, PRAN number and successfully initiated message.

 

Click on the ‘Print’ icon to print or save this page. Take a print out of this page and submit it to your Nodal Office or POP, POPSP.
