How to book railway retiring room online?

If you have booked a railway ticket recently and you need to stay sometimes in your starting station or destination station then you book a railway rest room. You can book a retiring room at most of the major railway station in India.

 

Many times a traveler needs to wait for the next train in a station or sometimes he or she needs to do some work and for which he needs one or two days and again he or she has to start return journey by train. In such situations if he or she wants to stay at railway rest room then how to book railway rest house or retiring room online.

 

We are discussing here how to book IRCTC retiring room online. For that follow the following paragraphs.

 

How to book railway retiring room online:

Before going to book railway retiring room you should have booked a confirm ticket first. If you have the PNR number of a confirm ticket then you can proceed for booking railway retiring room. Now follow the following steps.

 

STEP 1: First of all go to the website https://irctc.co.in and open the home page of the website.

 

STEP 2: On this IRCTC home page you will find a four line option on the right top corner of the page. Click on this option.

 

STEP 3: As you click on the four line option on the above step a list of some more options will be displayed. You will find a ‘At station’ option on the list. Place your cursor on it. Another four options will be appeared under ‘At Station’ option. Out of them, click on ‘Retiring room’ option.

 

STEP 4: You will be redirected to IRCTC retiring room booking page. Here you are asked to enter your PNR number. Enter your PNR number here and click on search.

 

STEP 5: A pop up window will be appeared. Here you will find two login options one is ‘IRCTC Login’ and the other is ‘Guest Login’. If you have IRCTC user Id and password then, click on ‘IRCTC login’ and if you want to login as guest then click on ‘Guest Login’. Click on ‘Guest Login’ and enter your mobile number and email id then click on ‘Login’ button.

 

STEP 6: In this page your train timings of source station and destination station will be displayed. Here you are asked to select where you are required retiring room. Select the source station if you want the room in starting station or select the destination station if you want room in destination station.

 

STEP 7: As you select retiring room required station you will ask to select check in date, check out date, bed type, AC status and quota. Select all the details here. Then select the passengers for which you want to book the retiring room. Finally click on ‘Check availability’.

 

STEP 8: Again a pop up message will be appeared. It says you are booking retiring for ** passengers. If yes then click on ‘OK’ here.

 

STEP 9: Now room will be displayed as per availability at the selected station. Select the room as per your choice like time slot, check in time, check out time, tariff, bed type, AC NON AC etc. And click on the proceed button.

 

STEP 10: If your selection is right then you will be redirected to payment page. Complete the payment here. Your ticket will be sent to your email. Take a print out of it and show it at the station retiring room service.
