How to reset transaction password in Central Bank Of
India:
To reset
transaction password in Central Bank you must have internet banking credentials.
Because of, you have to login to CBI internet banking first. Now follow the
following simple steps.
STEP 1: Go to
the website http://www.centralbankofindia.co.in
and open the home page of the website.
STEP 2: On the
home page of the Central bank website you will see an internet banking option.
Click on this option.
STEP 3: You will
be redirected to personal banking and corporate banking login page. Here you
have to click on ‘Login’ button under the personal banking option.
STEP 3: Now you
are on the personal banking login page. Here login to your CBI account using
your net banking user Id, password and the captcha code shown on the page.
STEP 4: You will
be logged in to your account. After logged in to your account on the top bar of
the page you will see ‘Profile settings’ option. Click on this option here.
STEP 5: As you
click on the ‘profile settings’ on the above step you will see ‘Account
Settings’ and ‘Password Settings’ options will be appeared on the screen. Click
on the option “Generate transaction password” under the Password Settings
option.
You can also go
through ‘Change transaction password’ option but you need to enter your current
transaction password to reset. If you have forgotten current transaction
password then it will be difficult to reset the transaction password by the ‘Change
transaction password’ option. Hence go through the option ‘Generate transaction
password’.
STEP 6: On this
new page you will see instructions for generating the transaction password.
Under the instructions you will see your CIF number and mobile number
registered to your account.
Under the CIF
number and mobile number you three second factor authentication will be
displayed. You need to select any one of them. Here you will find OTP via SMS,
Grid, DSC. Select the option OTP via SMS and click on ‘Generate’ button.
STEP 7: An OTP
will be receive on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP on this page
and click on ‘Submit’.
STEP 8: Another
transaction OTP will be received on your registered mobile number again. Enter
the transaction OTP, new transaction password and re-enter transaction password
here. Finally click on ‘Submit’.
A message will
be displayed on the screen “Transaction Password is successfully generated”.
Now you can use your new transaction password while using CBI internet banking
in the next time.
