STEP 1: Go to the website www.irctc.co.in and go to the home page of the website.

 

STEP 2: In this step you will be on the home page of IRCTC ticket booking page. On the right side top corner of the page you will find a four line option (menu). Click on this option. As you click on this option you will see an login button. Click on this login button.

 

STEP 3: Now you are on the login page of IRCTC ticket booking account. You will see an option ‘forgot account details’ just under the password option. Click on this option.

 

STEP 4: You will be redirected to another page. In this page you are asked to enter any one of the ‘IRCTC user Id, registered email Id, registered mobile number’. Enter any one of them. I recommend here to enter the mobile number which is registered with IRCTC account. After entering the mobile number you have to enter captcha code shown on the page and finally click on ‘Next’ button.

 

STEP 5: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. In this page first you are asked to enter your IRCTC account user Id then enter the OTP received on your mobile. After entering the details you need to create a password of your choice. Enter the confirm password. Keep in mind that the password should be contain 8-15 characters, at least one capital letter, one small letter, one number. After entering the password details enter the captcha code and click on ‘update password’.
