How to apply for PPF account in SBI online?

 

Hello guys, in this blog we are going to discuss about how to apply for PPF account in SBI online. If you are a SBI customer and you have a savings bank account then you can easily apply for a public provident fund account online.

 

Peoples are always searching for the online process of every application. Because we all want to do such types of works from home. More ever people don’t want to stand in a long queue again and again for taking application form, submitting the form after fill up.

 

If you are also searching for the process of applying PPF account online in SBI then you are at the right place. In this blog we are going to discussed the steps of the process for how to open PPF account in SBI online.

 

How to apply for PPF account in SBI online:

Before proceed to apply for Public Provident Fund in SBI online you must have to register in SBI internet banking. You can apply for PPF online in SBI only when you have the internet banking user ID and password. So register in SBI internet banking first. If you have already registered in SBI internet banking then follow the following steps.

STEP1: Go to SBI internet banking login page and login with your internet banking user, password and the OTP received on your registered mobile number.

 

STEP 2: After logged in to your account you will be on the account summary page of your internet banking. In this page you will see an option ‘e-services’. Click on this option here.

 

STEP 3: After click on this option some more options will be appeared on the screen. Find the option ‘New PPF Account’ among the list of options and click on this option.

 

STEP 4: A new page will open. In this page you will see your account details like account number, CIF number, name of the account holder, address of the account holder etc.

 

In this page you also have to enter your branch code. Enter the branch code on the box under the branch code option. As you enter the branch code branch name will be appeared on the branch name box.

 

Here you also need to enter your nominee name, nominee date of birth and the percentage of amount to be paid to nominee in case of death of account holder. Here you can maximum five nominees. Enter your nominee name here and enter the date of birth and percentage of the amount to be paid to the nominee. Keep in mind that the total percentage should be 100%.

 

After entering all the details click on ‘Submit’ button.

 

STEP 5: Now a massage will be displayed on the screen. It says that ‘Your application has been successfully submitted with the reference number…… Please print the A/C opening form from the ‘PPF online application’ tab and visit the branch with KYC documents and photograph within 30 days.’

 

STEP 6: After successfully submitted the form you need to print the online A/C opening form. To download the form click on the tab ‘Print PPF online application’ tab. After clicking on the tab your form will be downloaded on your PC.

 

Take a print out of the form and submit it duly signed of individual and two witnesses on the nomination form. You need to paste your passport size photograph on it and carry another photograph and KYC documents at the time of submitting the application form.

 

After submission the application they will provide you your passbook and asked to deposit first premium amount. After that your account will be activated.
