person. In that case if you don’t have the password you can check the ITR
status online by acknowledgement number.
How to check income tax refund status online without
login:
We all know that
income tax website has been changed in July 2021. If you don’t have the
password or forgot the password then you can check the ITR status online. Keep
in mind that in this process you need the acknowledgement number handy. You can
get the acknowledgement number from form V or from email received from Income
tax department after filing an income tax return.
If you want to
know the process of how to know ITR refund status then follow the following
steps.
STEP 1: Go to www.incometax.gov.in
website and open the home page of the website.
STEP 2: Now you are on the home page of the Income tax India website. Scroll
down the page. You will see some different options on the screen. Click on the
option “check the status of e-field ITR’ option.
STEP 3: In this page you need to enter the Acknowledgement number on the
screen. Enter the details correctly and click on ‘continue’.
STEP 4: An OTP will be received on the registered mobile number with PAN
details. Enter the OTP in this page and click on ‘submit’ button.
STEP 5: Now your
ITR status will be displayed on the screen.
