How to download form 26AS from income tax new website?

How to download form 26as from income tax new website:

Before going to download form 26 as you need to register in income tax India website. After that you can download the tax credit certificate 26as. Now follow the following steps.

 

STEP 1: Go to the website www.incometax.gov.in and open the home page of the website.

 

STEP 2: After open the website you will see the option ‘Login’ on the top bar of the page. Click on ‘login’ option.

 

STEP 3: Now you will see the login option again on the page. Here you are asked to enter your PAN/Aadhaar number or other user Id if you have generated earlier. Enter your user Id here and click on the ‘Continue’ button.

 

STEP 4: Another page will open. Here you are asked to enter the password of your income tax account. Enter the password here and trick on the box before the term ‘please confirm your secure access message’. Finally click on ‘continue’.

 

STEP 5: Now you are logged in to your income tax e-filling account. Click on place the cursor on the option ‘e-file’ and then two other options ‘income tax return’ and ‘income tax forms’ will displayed.  Place cursor on the ‘income tax return’ option.

 

Again some more options will be displayed. Click on the option ‘View form 26as’.

 

STEP 6: A POP up disclaimer will be displayed. It says that you will be redirected to another website. Read all the disclaimer displayed and then click on ‘confirm’ button.

 

STEP 7: The TRACES website will be appeared. In this page you will see a box before the terms ‘I agree to the uses and acceptance form 16/16A generated from TRACES’. Trick on the box here and then click on the ‘proceed’ button.

 

STEP 8: You will see a link ‘Click view tax credit form(26AS) to view your form 26AS. Click on this link.

 

STEP 9: In this page you need to select the assessment year for which you want to download the form 26AS. Before selecting the assessment year keep in mind that assessment year is one year after then financial year. For example if you want to download form 26AS for the financial year 2020-21 then you need to select the assessment year as 2021-22.

 

Select the assessment year from the drop down menu and select the ‘view as’ as HTML from the drop down menu. After selecting the both term click on ‘View/download’ option. Again click on ‘export as PDF’ option.

 

STEP 10: Now your tax credit certificate 26AS will be downloaded on your PC.
