How to check Aadhaar update status online (If update request is done online)

Checking Aadhaar online demographic update status is very easy. You just need to follow some simple steps. Here is the step by step process of chec Aadhaar update status for online update request.

 

STEP 1: Go to the website www.uidai.gov.in and open the home page of the website.

 

STEP 2: Now you are on the home page of the Aadhaar official website. In this page you will see an option ‘Check online Demographic Update Status’ under the ‘Update Aadhaar’ category. Click on this option.

 

STEP 3: As you click on ‘check online Demographic Update Status’ a new page will open. In this page you need to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and the captcha code shown on the page. Enter the both credentials and click on ‘Send OTP’ button.

 

STEP 4: An OTP will be received on the mobile number linked with Aadhaar. Another space will be generated on the screen. You are asked to enter the OTP on the new space. Enter the OTP here and click on the option ‘Check Status’.

 

STEP 5: In this step you will see the Aadhaar update status on the screen. The details will be described on the massage shown on the screen.

 

Aadhaar card update status check (If update request is done through Aadhaar center)

If you have made a request for Aadhaar update through an Aadhaar enrolment center then you can check Aadhaar update status online by the following process.

 

STEP 1: Go to the home page of the website www.uidai.gov.in

 

STEP 2: You will see two Aadhaar update status check option under the ‘Update Aadhaar’ category. One is ‘Check Aadhaar Update Status’ and the second is ‘Online Demographic Update Status’. You need to click on the first one i.e. ‘Check Aadhaar update status’.

 

STEP 3: In this page you have to enter the Aadhaar enrolment Id with date and time and the captcha code shown on the screen. The Aahdaar enrolment Id is will be found on the acknowledgement letter which you have received after successfully done Aadhaar update request at the Aadhaar enrolment center.

 

If you have no the EID then you can retrieve the forgotten EID by your registered mobile number from UIDAI website.

 

Enter all the details correctly and click on the option ‘Check Status’.

 

STEP 4: An OTP will be received on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP on this page and click on ‘Check Status’ option.

 

STEP 5: Now your Aadhaar update status will be shown on the screen. If update is completed successfully then you can download the Aadhaar card from UIDAI website. You will also receive your Aadhaar card by post shortly.
